Born in the Wheel of a Wagon… Portraits of Life and Leisure on the Road

This special gallery display reveals the lives of Travellers, as told by older members of the South West Traveller community, to coincide with this year’s famous Bridgwater St Matthew’s Fair.

This insight into life on the road brings together photographs by Ted Franklin, audio material by Yvette Staelens and Avril Silk and a book produced by MA Museum Studies students from Bournemouth University.

Please note, that the audio element of the exhibition will only be accessible during The Engine Room opening hours: 10am - 4pm Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday.

Meet The Curators of The Traveller Exhibition Talk and Discussion: Thursday 28th September 6pm-7pm at The Engine Room and Livestream
