Come along and help with Watchet's Great British Beach Clean hosted by Plastic Free Watchet and Plastic Free Communities in West Somerset.

We will be conducting a detailed survey of different types of litter on a small stretch of West Street Beach (counting and weighing) to add to the MCS national database as well as carrying out a general beach clean and litter pick in and around Watchet.

This event is also a great chance to find out about, share ideas and get involved in the Watchet and West Somerst Plastic Free Communities campaigns.

We will provide litter pickers and sacks for collecting debris.

The beach survey will take about an hour and once complete all those involved in the survey and litter pick are invited back to The Sanctuary (opposite the Post Office in Swain Street) for hot drinks and cake, where all that's collected will be sorted.
