Lilstock

Lilstock beach - Somerset Coast Festival polaroid image

The somewhat remote hamlet and old harbour of Lilstock lies in the Quantock hills on the coast of Bridgwater Bay in Somerset, between the villages of Kilve to the west and Stolford to the east. It’s beach is mostly shingle, sand and mud – to the west it contains blue lias pavements, an historic source of paving slabs, and is littered with fossil rich rocks. There are low cliffs to the east and west and views towards the island of Steep Holm. A car park can be reached from a bumpy track and is 200 yards from the beach.
